ACell is a protein matrix that promotes wound healing and regeneration by directly stimulating the stem cell activity. The stem cells in a balding scalp are often present, but the trigger to divide and produce hair cells becomes lost. The ACell acts as a trigger to the stem cells, creating increased hair density and volume.
What is the process?
PRP is conducted in-office by taking a simple blood draw, then your platelets are carefully processed while your treatment area is prepped for injection. Once the PRP is processed, it will be injected into the treatment area and sometimes applied topically. When applying PRP topically this treatment will be combined with a micro pen, commonly known as a 'Vampire Facial'. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Bar Refaeli are fans of this treatment, which may look quite scary in progress but boast Big-Time results. Unlike filler, the results of PRP only begin to be noticed at 2-4 weeks but continue to flourish for up to 1 year.
How does it work?
Within the PRP are Growth Factors derived from platelets which are responsible for soft tissue repair, bone regeneration, development of new blood vessels, and stimulation of the wound healing process. Because these growth factors can differentiate and preform so many different tasks they are often compared to a stem cell in the way they heal.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Treatment can be done individually, in a package or combined with laser resurfacing for healing or acell (a hair nourishment and stimulation). PRP can heal scars both surgical and acne, rosacea, eczema, improve stretch marks, regrow hair and improve bladder control/erectile dysfunction. This is the 'Fountain of Youth,' from a medical and aesthetic viewpoint.
